A few years ago (2001), I did a poster for the Rangers of the Vietnam era.  At that time it was really expensive to get quality posters out to the public and I didn’t have a big distribution of the design.

Now that I have a little more resources, I’m cleaning up the poster and eventually making it for sale – the facebook page is open for comments but I’ve added a screenshot in the Portfolio section and close-up.  Here’s a rundown of what is on the full version (which is 18″ x 24″).

All Ranger Companies of Vietnam (A Company – P Company) with their associated parent units.  Any known patches that those units made or wore at that time are included from my research.  As a tribute I have also added the ARVN Patch, beret pin, Vietnam Ranger Battalion Scroll, Vietnam Ranger badge, CIB, Pathfinder badge and jumpwings (along with Ranger tab over the 75th Ranger Regiment unit crest).

All of the artwork was recreated from scratch using research from the internet as well as my own personal collection of patches from that era.  Unit start and end dates were taken from various book sources as well.
